when will nintendo do this?

Post by ganonbanned »

when will nintendo make some kind of adaptor that lets you play classic GBO/GBC games on the DS? why didnt they just make the DS like that. i bought a DS lite assuming that it would be able to play classic gameboy games, but it cant. is it possible that someone else (i mean from the forums) could make something like that? i think it would be pretty cool.

you would have to find a way to emulate the processors in the GBC and GBO, using the DSs processor. It would be very hard, and possibly buggy.

Couldn't you just have an adapter with a Z80 processor that would run the games, might be easier than to emulate it on the ds processors?

does the GBA emulate GBO and GBC? I thought it did that from hardware and therefor the GBA emulation in the DS would work with GBO/GBC games. I guess not though, because if it did, why would nintendo lock it out?

I think it has the GBC processor and GBA processor, the GBA micro can't play GBC games because it had to be as small as possible, so they left out the GBC processor.

yeah, the GBA and GBA SP had the GBA hardware and GBC/GB hardware as well. The DS and GB Micro don't have the GB/GBC hardware so they can't play the games :(. Which is why I still own a GBA SP ;).
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

With the better backlight? The new backlight is a ton better than the old. On low the new in brighter than the old and the colors are so bright.

the DS doesn't play GBC games because they wanted to cut down on space and cost of production. However, there are homebrew adapters that play GBC games using the GBA port if you feel like googling it.

Buy a gba to gamecube link cable then a gameboy player. Put the game in the gameboy player, then link the gbasp to the gamecube. IT will automaticly work as a controller.
