Possibly looking for pokemon: fire red / GBA stuff.

I may be looking for this game as inside it, it may have some hardware I need.
The reason I am unshure of it is that the version that has the parts inside is the japan version, and you'd probably only have the american version.
So If anyone would like to open up the cart for me or somethin, I need to know what the guts look like. (its only 1 screw that you can get off with a small flathead screwdriver.)

If you really want to know why the heck I need this specific game, I'l tell ya later.

Before I make any offers, I just need to know what the guts look like, and if they match these:

Thank you.

I can probably keep my eyes out for a red japanese one. I usually only buy the "not released in the US" green one for resale on ebay.

Seems like you need the flash chip... I do think the us version is identical. A store happened to sell the game new and sealed for 12€ when I last checked... I've also seen green for same price in that store. It's pal though...

yes, I do need the flash chip inside. The chips provided by normal GBA games arent the same size, and I dont have a lot to modify the surface mount stuff. (yeah I am hacking the GBA)

I'm not shure if the green version has it, but I bet it does. If the american version has it as well, I bet that any E-reader useable game has it. Basically I'm trying a couple things with the GBA, as I'm still waiting on a hipgear to arrive for a NES portable.
Thanks a bunch

Addition: Aren't GBA games (as well as DS) region free?

Addition 2: would anybody by any chance have a super small GBA flash cart?

ok sounds good.

I'm looking for this: MX29L010TC - 15.
It should be that chip, as pictured, and the same length. (as in as long as the one in the picture, not the short stubby ones in regular GBA games.)

What instructions are you using to do this? Or are you doing your own thing

I might hold off on this, as my idea might be wrong. I thought that the game was stored on that chip, and it isint.
So Im going to temp. pause this for the moment.
