ps2 slim

hi all i would like to ask a question i have a slim ps2 [pal] i was wondering if there is anyway to power it quite simply like the ps1 way on jeff slots guide that i found on here that envolves just cutting the power wire and putting the battery on the end i did try it with a 7.2 v but the light came on but would not go green i dont mind too much if its just an hour or so play time. thanks a lot to anyone who replys.

i dont see why not, what does the PStwo take 8.5 volts? just feed it whatever voltage it needs and it should run

thanks for the reply i take it i would have to make this battery myself using 7x 1.5 volts i also have a psone screen so that could be powered by my 7.2 v battery

you could try and power the slim with your 7.2 battery it couldnt hurt it

thanks for the help i tried the 7.2 on the screen and it runs fine but with the slim added it just turns on then off again so i think i need a little more voltage i suppose i will have to make my own battery with 7 x1.5 batterys what do we think?

7 NiMH (1.2v) batteries should power it and it's not too much for the screen (i use 8.4v for my N64p). just make sure you use some batteries with pretty high capacity/amps like Cs or something
