9.6 1000mah

I am looking at buying some power suplies for portables. I thought that I read somewhere that the 1000mah batteries will not power some devices. Will it not power it or will it just not last for very long?

As long as the voltage the battery puts out is at least what the item needs, it will power it.

The capacity (1000mah in this case) just determines how long the battery can power something. A battery this small is rather pointless for anything besides a NOAC portable with an LED-modified 2.5" screen, such as a hip gear screen. You're better off spending the extra money for batteries that have a higher capacity.

Thanks for all the feedback, you helped confirm what I think I already knew! I would love to get into building a NOAC with a cartridge slot but I have had limited success finding a real good starting point. Any suggestions?
