Camera phone Screen????

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Camera phone Screen????

Post by A_Username »

Somebody I know works with a guy who could get a hold of a cameraphone screen with stereo sound and the audio and video ports clearly labeled. This is all I know but he says he was able to get audio and video in on the screen. I can get it for free too. Could I use it on a portable, maybe Atari 2600, or a pong portable?

Well if you can get audio and video in on the screen, then go for it! It is free after all, so there's really nothing to lose. In order to use this screen with an Atari, you'd have to do the composite mod for it (which can be found around the forums, I'll try to find it for you later) since the Atari only outputs RF signals.

Actually, pretty much any screen you use would require you to do the composite mod, unless you can find a screen that accepts RF input.

No, just use ben's new composite video mod. Not the old one. the new one. Higher chance of it working.
