how do i get the screws off of the N64!?

1. Melt a Bic pen and jam it in the hole, then turn after waiting a while. Doesn't work for a lot of people.

2. Buy a 4.5mm GameBit screwdriver off eBay.

3. Stick your soldering iron on the screw, wait for it to heat up, and pull the screw out.

1, and 2 only work sometimes.

I do this.

if its the Tri-Wing screw, stick a small glasses kit flathead screw driver in there, use some force, and it will come out.

if its that wierd circle one, I dont know.

i didnt melt the screws off my system, but it worked well for opening expansion packs, memory packs, and power bricks. its easier to push them right through with your soldering iron than to pull them out with something else.

#1 worked great for me; you really got to jam the pen in there hard though and let it sit for about 5 minutes before unscrewing.

I used two little screw drivers and worked 5 of the 6 screws out.
For the last one I just drilled it out.

I bought the Gamebit Screwdriver (SCREWDRIVER, not bit!) and I love it. It doesnt work to open the jumper pack, but I just use my dremel for that.

Well, in any case, I like #2 best. I got a "GameBit" from eBay for ~$3 and I love it so much I actually keep it in the small plastic bag it came it to protect it.

From what? I don't know... it's metal, after all.

i use hemostats or forcepts to clamp on the screws and just turn em out, it works pretty good and no damage to the case

alright now here is how I do it

I TAKE A CHUNK OUTTA A STANDARD SCREWDRIVER!

I know simple, done to death

BUT IT WORKS VERY WELL WITHOUT TOO MUCH WORK, OR HAVING TO WARM UP A SOLDER IRON!!!!
