SHE IS DEAD AGAIN :evil: :evil: :evil: It is doing the same old thing again, fan spins disc spins, screen goes black, nothing else happens. help me

haha i remember when this happened to me (but with someone elses PS2!). unfortuantely in my case it was really broken. part of it later became part of my laptop...

check for shorts. clean off any flux. make sure all the connectors are in properly. thats about it. or you might have a broken connection (usually at one of the surface mount resistors/capacitors)

there is some flux buildup on some connections, how can I clean it,I have had no luck just rubbing it off.

clean flux with 99% pure rubbing alcohol and a qtip with the cotton end broke off
did you try wiggling the av cable on the back of the unit mine does that sometimes and just needs to bee wiggled
if all else fails hit it with a big hammer
