Anything worth modding on my gbasp?

Is there anything worth modding on my gba sp? Ive heard people have replaced things and stuff. What all can be done? It's one of the old ones, before bright screens

Install a Stealth V4 Dimmer.
Overclock it.
Paint it.

I gotta convince my brother to let me paint his SP, its the black with the new backlight, so half orange or something would look cool.

I'm thinking about replacing a few buttons. A modded sp would be cool to show off at school.

I don't know of any buttons that could replace the ones in the SP, but painting them (outside of the SP, of course) would be cool. Maybe paint the top and bottom halves different colors, too.

My old sp half has buttons I might switch out. GBASP d-pad = gamecube dpad

I don't think SP and GC d-pads are the same. A GBC or GBA d-pad might be the same as GC.

Ugh, the gamecube Dpad is that controller's worst feature. I've been trying to buy a Nyko PlayCube: a PS2 to GC controller adapter.

If I were you, I'd try to find a xbox to GC adapter. The xbox dpad is much better than the PS2 dpad in my opinion, as its possible to just kinda rock your finger instead of having to push 4 seperate buttons.

I'm about to go rip open the 2 sp's. Custom case? Neat. I was thinking of putting an sp inside a gamecube controller just now.

You could have it look like a hipgear controller! Or if the SPs are different colors you can swap em around. Thats what I did with my black and green xbox controllers, so now its easy to find them after halo parties.
