Alright, recently I bought a psp memory stick. It was only 1 gb MS PRO DUO and under 60-70$ which I found out is more then a Memory stick PRO 1 gb (50-40$). So I thought to my self, "I wonder what I could do to get memory stick pros to work on my psp without having to buy a neo 4 in 1 or a p800 converter". Well, this is where the project comes in. I looked up the pinouts for the memory stick pro and the memory stick pro duo and found out that they are exactally the same. So I will now go forth into the land of modification and take a swing at this. The parts list should be as follows.
Neo flash Memory stick adapter soft cable
Industrial Tape
Memory Stick PRO slot
These parts should be all I need to finsish this project.
I am going to order the parts ASAP and keep this thread updated wih my status.

Ok here's a very small update. Today I bought one of those Madcats PRO gaming kits, or whatever. Comes with a slick case, 6 umd cases, and a crappy pair of earbuds. It was 20 bucks for the whole thing. One relief I have is that the actual plastic holder for the psp is only held down with 4 tiny screws. So I can snake a ribbion cable under it and have a seamless look.
The project will be finished sometime this month. I should recive my 2 memory stick slots and my ribbion cable so if anyone is watching this project, it will soon be completed.

Another update!
I finally got the bottom inlay of the MadCatz case to come out, it was a female of the dog species to get out but I finally did. To open it you need one of those eyeglass repair kits with the small screwdriver. Once you get those out be careful not to damage the locking mechanism because it is very fragile. DO NOT PUT THE SCREWS BACK IN AFTER YOU OPEN IT. If you do theey are a pain to get out again and it just defeats the purpose of having it open to put an inlay in or a cable. So, that's my update for now, now all I have to do is get my memory stick slots and my memory card and I'm all done.

umm.. this thread is 2 weeks old. And memory stick prices are constantly in flux. Right now, MS pro duo are cheaper than MS pro at officemax, but that could change in 2 more weeks.zagalo wrote:it is cool that you are doing this but i bought a 1 gb memory stick duo for $30. few places are selling them for that price.
I really don't care about the prices right now, I care about using old memory sticks, because I have a lot of them that are not being used.Xiro wrote:umm.. this thread is 2 weeks old.
