I am new to this kinda thing and i always want to play my SNES but i lost the A/V cord so I was wanting to make it into a portable. I have read allot of stuff on these forums. BUt i still only understand some of it. If you could help em and give me very detailed instuctions on how to make a portable SNES i would be greatful.

go with wally it will help you with more than just building a portable Ben goes through BAsic electronics skills and theories of operation so you should buy the book if you are the noobist of noobs
Also check the wiki it has tons of great stuff

Well, the guide is a direct rip from Ben's book, and you can find info on soldering and stuff on PoD; plus, it'd be free that way!

Um... Can't you buy a new A/V cable? Making a portable isn't the easiest way to "fix" it.

true, but a portable snes is koowler then an AV cable.
