I don't think it is how much it can support, our truck is a 1 ton, and my dad said it could have several tons of payload (I'll ask him about it when he gets home).
We have (since I'm not 16, I'll list my family's cars) a 1994 Ford F-350 4 door longbed with a 460 V8 and 220,000 miles on stock engine and tranny.
1999 Ford Windstar, V6, flipdown tv is best part.
2002 Ford Focus, 4 cylinder, my Dad's commuter car.

My car will cost between $500 and $1000, and I will likely put a sound system in it that is worth more than the rest.

This is my trusty steed(s).

Image

The one in front is my daily driver, Fiat Punto sporting Mk2. 1.2 16v, 80hp, 38-50mpg, 110mph, 0-60 in 10.5 seconds, 6 speed manual.

The yellow one behind (hidden by the caravan) is another Punto sporting, This time a MK1, 6more hp but not so good MPG and no performance difference, only 5 gears too.

check the lovely scottish countryside too.

My Car
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2338991

Handed down to me from my dad, who now drives an Acura TL

Image

It is lightning fast and I love driving it. My car isn't to shabby either, considering people can hear me coming from far away. Hope I don't go deaf :D .

As with everything, I did it myself. The only hard part was putting the power wire for the amp through the firewall.
It's not about quantity, but rather quality

Well concidering how much it would cost for me to get a car I have op'ted to wait a while. These are in canadian funds....

3500$ for a used car preferably an 90's jetta or acura.
4200$ for insurance WITHOUT collision so if I got in a crash I would be left with nothing.
500-1000$ for a sound system. Big time sound baby.

add it up and its over 8 grand... I just cant afford it right now. But maybe if I can get my parents to pitch in some money for it...
I'm the man, if you don't think so, you're wrong.

I'm looking at getting a job and saving all of my money for a year then getting a summer job next year. Assuming minimum wage for the part-time job, I'll be able to afford a 5-7 year old mustang for university.

My mom used to own a Six-Cylinder Mustang, it was baby blue, made in the 70's or 80s.

She loved that car, so did I, until we got T-boned by a drunk driver who stole a armoured mail truck back in 2000. I broke my leg, my arm, and 3 ribs. Lucky us, there was 3 cop cars stationed down the street becuase they pulled someone over.
