Rip-off songs?
Ok, I've been checking this out lately and it seems to me that a lot of video game songs are actually taken from other existing songs. I recently heard from CTfan that the Robo theme was from someone else (can't think of the name now), but I also discovered another one myself. I played Starfox for the first time last week (
) and noticed that the menu music is the same as the music from Rebel Strike when you pause the game. There are some others but I can't think of them now.

Bungie is a division of Microsoft Games which itself is a division of the Microsoft corporation. Geez get your facts straight.
Edit: Here are the facts to back it up

MGS publishes games for several Microsoft-owned first-party developers, including Bungie Studios and Rare Ltd.. MGS also publishes games created by third-party developers, such as Bioware and Bizarre Creations.

What I have shown you is reality. What you remember, that is the illusion.

Same with Naughty Dong and Sony, too.
Mostly, though, it's so if a division of a company is shamed by releasing total crap (IE Squaresoft's DOG division releasing a ton of crappy PC games back in the early 80s) the mother company isn't shamed, and a division can simply be terminated. Or in some cases, a division loses fundings/goes bankrupt despite making incredible games, like Quintet did with Enix.

Not sure about this one, but the music from the first level of Doom sounds like a slightly speeded up (and midi) version of Saxons's Never surrender
