Shrinking TI-84 Plus SE

Is it possible to make a TI-84 graphing calculator smaller? It is very uncomfortable to have in my pocket, so I what to make the case smaller. I want to know if it will work before I take it apart, as I'd likely get in trouble for taking it apart.

Use a dremel to shave off the extra plastic from the sides.
