2. I'm not sure, you can on a GBO.
3. I replaced the D-pad with a GBA D-pad, so its higher/more joystick like. I also built in a charger for it, so I just have to plug in a 3v power adapter and the batteries will charge.

also, i just painted my GBC with chameleon paint. it looks really cool. i think you can get lights in it to but im not sure about that.

And no, the GBC can't be backlit. The image gets far too washed out when this mod is attempted.
