i dont have any dreamcast games at the moment, so i'd like to use an NES emulator on it, at the monet im researching on nesterdc, does nesterdc run on special nes roms, or regular ones that u'd use on ur pc's nes emulator, also do you have to burn those roms onto the same disc with the nes emulator, i imagine you need to, also can i use any burning program or only nero?

Roms are roms, they only real difference is the emulator that is used to run them. Yes I can assure you that you have to have the roms on the same disc. That's not too hard a thing with the 8bit emulators as they're only up to 300MB in size anyways with the roms. As for burning, many come packaged for DiscJuggler, though there are program out there that let you conver it to a nero supported package.
P.S. It seems you know, but just to make surtain for you and anyone else reading. Don't ask were to get emulators or roms on the forums.

I am a geek.
Avast ye! ROMs are illegal! You can use any burning software. I reccomend using Self-Boot Inducer (SBI), the directions for the emulator will tell you how to use SBI to make a disk. I always used SBI so I could burn multiple homebrews on a single disk.NESBest wrote:i dont have any dreamcast games at the moment, so i'd like to use an NES emulator on it, at the monet im researching on nesterdc, does nesterdc run on special nes roms, or regular ones that u'd use on ur pc's nes emulator, also do you have to burn those roms onto the same disc with the nes emulator, i imagine you need to, also can i use any burning program or only nero?
Make sure your DC was manufactured before December 2002, otherwise you will need a modchip.

Time Stalkers is like new. I got it knew and have barely used it. You interested in it. graphics are ok, but the setup makes it hard as crap.
for example if you leave a dugeon without finishing it you go back to level one.
As for home brew all you need is a cd-burner and a iso burning program such as Alcohol 120%, disc juggler, or Nero. the trail of alcohol 120% worked excellent for me until it expired.
best piece of homebrew work i have seen is rad quake. you have to look at it.

i ended up getting it to work, the file was .bin, but i got one that was .nrg and it worked, im using nero to burn it, i have the roms on one disc, and the emulator on another, i am unsure how to put them on both, but if anyone has information on that it would be greatly appreciated, also, why is half-life for DC illegal? im interested in browswing the web and possibly playign games online, does anyone reccomend any isp's to use?wallydawg wrote:I have the black dreamcast as well so you should be fine. Did you put everything on one disk or did you make an emulator disk and a rom disk? Also, what program are you using to burn these?
