I recently bought this book called the black art of video game console design and as i read through it, it introduced me to somthing i've never heard of: SPICE. its like a schematic simulation program. i was just wondering if any of you have heard of it and if it would be helpful in planning out portables?

First of all, that book is great. Teaches you everything about electronics, then let's you learn microcontrollers, consoles, etc.

SPICE isn't really that useful for portables though. I mean, it's great for actual electronic design, but there's not really much you can use it for when building a portable.
I'd imagine right now you wish you were a cuttlefish...
