Basement Arcades!

Thia is one of the best looking basement arcades I've seen.

I seriously want to do something like this someday, just have a bunch of classic arcade games like this, maybe send fliers out and make it a garage buisness... probably throw in a couple newer games to entertain the kids who think anything older than Gran Turismo 3 is pointless...

Oh and I know about http://basementarcade.com too, in case anyone was going to post it.

I wonder if there's any actual arcades that have dedicated sections for the classics...

my dad and i went to the midwest gaming classic, and we played a lot of arcade games. my dad had not played a game since 96 (gameboy) and we were talking about how we should get a basement arcade.

Well I would have to say the Spongebuell is the closest person to having something like that then any of us. Really I don't see how hard that would be if you went with Mame, and perhaps built the cases yourself.

Really? How many arcade machines does he have?

I unfortunately only have one as of yet, and only a handfull of boards for it. http://videogamecollectors.com/gallery/album19/Feb18_05 I had a pinball machine, but it needed several hundred dollars in parts, so I traded it for an arcade board, that I ended up selling on eBay.

I only have one machine, but I built 2.. both of which run MAME, and play hundreds of games (although, only a few dozen are good and playable)

does this guy use digitpress? there is someone named chris ther (cmosfm) that is selling the 3700 game collection

also, the best arcade game ever made is the simpsons, hands down

In my basement there's a pinball machine that's from the 60's that's still good. It's a Williams', and its interesting to see its electromechanic guts. That's why I have another old one that doesn't work and I can't fix to play around with. An arcade near me just went out of buisness, I could have bought some old arcade games there... but, I didn't have time to go to the auction.

I love my cab, Double Dragon, but who wouldn't love a free cab. I can hopefully put in my friends ice cream place or it can go down in my basement with my plinko machine and pool table

. I really want a Playchoice 10 and a MVS.

If I put it in the ice cream place I really won't care what happens to it because it is in such bad shape. I heard DD really sucks the qaurters though, but the cab would be paying me
