Duke Nukem 3D: How to play it?

OK, I've playn Duke Nukem 3D, almost my whole god-forsaken life. And with modern videos I see, I see that people seem to move their view, meaning it's playing with a mouse (?). OK, I ALWAYS have played this game with only keyboard, so I'm asking you, on my shareware version, for somereason, I can't use the mouse? So how the heck do I play this game? :-\

I have that game hmmmmm lets see I know its a key in the top letter row. I think its U.

And do you know the cheat words.

Also, I'm having some well, problems with it...per se. My DN: 3D is the one from the PC Gamer May '01 issue. Apparently, everytime I press: Save and Launch Duke Nukem 3D, I see the Command Prompt screen loading, then the screen flashes black and back to desktop. I'm running this on a XP.

Ten, yea, but then this problem came up. I fixed the problem, apparently, the VESA mode was not compatible, and I have to play in *shudder* 320x200. But that god-damn sound! I just can't get it to work in DN or SW. In SW they made some sort of 'patch', and I used it...no difference. Then I tried calibrating it using the CP file, and I set it to my SoundBlaster PCI card (the mod was supposed to fix PCI sound cards) and I get grindy sounds and S-L-O-W gameplay. Why 3D Realms? First DN-F is delayed, now this...curses!

for sound i just go into setup and set the sound card for general MIDI.

If you really like the game get the atomic edition. more levels and and a new gun.

I'm not sure if this works on the demo but if you have the full version get the high resolution pack.
