http://vgmusic.com/ Vitrually endless video game MIDIs
As you can tell I like the old-school simple music which consists of sine waves, square waves, sawtooth waves, and the occasional PCM sound.
Most of the arcade Neo Geo music is good. (Neo Turf Masters, Metal Slug, League Bowling...)
While I'm not a big Nintendo fanboy, the music for Super Mario Bros 1, Super Mario World, and the first level music for Super Mario 64 are good.
the Leisure Suit Larry theme song is good in a sleazy sort of way, especially the version in LSL 5.
The Jazz Jackrabbit 2 menu loop. After about a minute and 3 seconds it will loop, as it would in the game. Bet you can't really tell!
Edit: The Toejam & Earl music, from both 1 and 2.
