I sent in my PSP because it broke. (

) I want to know what firmware version the PSP will come back as to know if I do the 2.0>1.5 downgrade (because I got screwed from upgrading to 2.5). The PSP firmware that was sent in was 2.7.

as with everything else you send in, it will come back with the firmware that was most current at the time they reconditioned the unit they send back to you. which may or may not be the same one you send in.

Damn. Well, i'm fairly sure the value pack still has firmware 1.52 and the giga pack has firmware 2.0. My dad said that they will probably send back a refurbished unit, so it might have the firmware from when it was refurbished, which could be from a while ago. Well, I can hope.

Well, i'll keep you posted when I recieve the PSP back, maybe some of you might care.

Think BestBuy will take my 2.7 PSP back because it has a dead pixel?

Probably. There are so few pixel problems with the PSP they may take it back. If they don't, come back later an say it doesn't play one of your games.

Just put a little dab of glue on the laser so it can't read UMDs. As long as the glue is unoticable enough, they should take it back thinking it's "bad".

I was considering running 2.71 update with a minimal ammount of battery left, full brightness, and pulling out the charger.

Just keep it full charge, pull out the charger and the battery! Or maybe the memory stick.

Actually, I don't think the update actually boots without a full battery.
