Thanks for the suggestion. If you get a chance to look here again tell me if this is the model you have? Its suprisingly cheaper at pricegrabber so if that is it and accepts CF cards I'll buy it.

yeh thats the 128MB model,
I can't remember anyplayers that use Compactflash, if You have a few CF cards that hold 256MB or over then Compact Flash might be the way to go, but with about 80% of all digital devices useing SD (Secure Digital) cards and the price of SD dropping I'd buy an SD player if I were You
If the player supports CF cards is more likely to be a bigger player as it is a bigger card, I think CF mirco drives can hold up to about 4GB or maybe 8 these days I'm not sure, it's just the only thing I think You'll see them in after awhile will be Digital SLR Cameras and not much else imo CF is a dieing medium

what do You want out of an Mp3 player?

personally I wanted one that could hook directly to a computer so that I wouldn't have to carry a USB cord around with me, somthing small, doesn't skip so I could run with it, enough room to fit around 140 song with some space left over for a few files and photos, an FM radio and standard batterys so I can use rechagables of Alkline

Well I know I want CF as my dad has four 512mb, one 256mb and one 64mb cards. For the most part I dont want the mp3 players that are limited to just internal memory, I get sick of mixed cds as it is I need some veriaty. Just so long as it supports CF cards I'd be happy.

My brother just ordered a 1GB San Disk model. It seems to be pretty decent, and is $120 after a $20 rebate

I believe he means a mp3 player, I heard my dad bought two high speed 512 CF cards from costco for around $50.

You could use the innards from a DVD player do most of the same stuff as that $150 dealie... older models used IDE too. If you find one that has an LCD on the front that tells you what track it's on and an IDE port, you'd be set...
Then again, if you want CF support, well... that's a problem
