Not to be offending, but I really don't think you will get a decent response, since backing up copies of games is illegal. (I think) I reccomend that you ask such a question on a different forum.

(My dream is to become a mod)

Actually, backing it up and keeping it is legal. As long as it is YOUR software (meaning no downloading roms, folks, even if you own the game!) and you are not distributing and only using it for your purposes.

I didn't know that! I thought it was piracy! I have dealt with it a lot, so, sorry if I offended anybody. Why would you need to back it up anyways?
:D

Well, a backup copy is very usefull in any situation. In my case, I copy my 3do games so I can play them without worrying that I may accidentally destroy the disc.
Shhh! I'm not officially back yet.

ROMs are legal as long as you own a real copy of the game.

ROMs and copies and pretty much anything that you do with them (For personal use, no distributing) is legal as long as you own a real copy of the game.

Actually, owning the game is not enough. You have to own the copy of the game that got copied to make that rom.

Actually, I think that's not enough. You have to make the copy yourself, don't you?

I hear it's good to back up your Sega CD games as well, as the Sega CD has a habit of scratching disks.

I've never had a problem backing up PSone games. I use Nero and do a CD Copy. I burn at about 16-24x because things seem to mess up if you burn at a faster rate.
