But we get an extra 2 hours of the Boston Pops concert on the local CBS affiliate! :P (The national broadcast is only an hour.) We had performances by a couple of the American Idol winners, a lot of the orchestra playing, more fireworks, a performance by Rockapella, a speech by some old CBS 4 news anchor (I don't know, I watch the Channel 7 NBC news! :P)
Dude, it's called conneticut! ;)
NY is illegal, conneticut is anything that does shoot up. THough there are some cool ones i can get in greenwich, like these flashing ones that pretty much blind you for a minute.

In Hillsborough, Florida, you can buy fireworks ONLY if you plan to use them for these two jobs: Mining, and scaring birds :P I'm serious. The county by county rules change, but you still see all kinds of huge tents stocked with "artillery shells" and the like. Each tent has a sign posted stating that according to Florida law the sale of fireworks cannot be prohibited.

People were mining and scaring off birds for three weeks now, and of course just last night as well.

Dang you all need to come to Indiana. The cops here don't care if you set off stuff. My friend shot a morter shell but the tube got tipped over and shot right over a car. It was so funny. The blast was huge. Here you only have to be 16 to buy them and don't even need ID to prove it. I lit off 500 bottle rockets and 1200 black cats. My nieghbor set of 6 morter shells AT ONCE! The sky was lit up! That is my story.

I was looking at a 30 minute roll of firecrackers (yeah, the roll was ~3 ft diameter), but eventually decided against it due to cost.

That would be awesome. You can make regular firecrackers last a long time, unravel them (like it says not to) and you have 100 mini sticks of dynamite, or at least thats what it looks like.

I like moving my camera around when taking pictures of fireworks.

Heh. In Houston fireworks are illegal. So what you do is you drive 5 miles out to a suburb then set them off in the street or something. Me and my friends blew like 60 bucks. Those damn value packs are so addictive...
