Are Radica's really that rubbish?

Ok so i decided to test out my Radica before i cut it up for my MD portable (the nomad lite if you will).

first of all the sound is horrible

But i expected that.

The image quality though, I tested sonic 2 first (arcade legends 2) First of all the rings where not properly round, they seemed very rough. The biggest problem seemed to be that whenever a blue colour pallette is used i get a 2" thick blue bar down the right side of the screen. Is this normal? will it go away when i hardwire a screen and cart slot to it?

i will post pics tonight so that you can see what i mean.

Must be a problem with yours, My Radica V2, works just like the genny.
