Atari 2600 amp draw?

Well, I am putting crap on an Atari 2600 Custom PCB. (that would have the same draw as a chopped 2600, right?) How much is the amp draw?

Well according to Ben's book the Atari requires 300mA at 5v. You might be able to get that down a little as you can have the compoins connected one the PCB rather then lose wires, and they'll be closer together.

Also, the fact that I am using a switcherating regulator. <_< I am switching all regulators, even ones that were in the hardware already, like the psone screen to switching regulators. So I can probably shoot it down a little.

Possibly, but Ben could have got that figure off a multi-meter or he could have got it by messureing the batteries power before and after using. Not sure so you might be right, just don't be suprised if the switching regulators don't imporve your performace that much.
