thank you.CronoTriggerfan wrote:@ Bic: I have absolutely no problem with freedom of speech. In fact, I don't care if someone hates the DS; it's just that this guy is a liar. You CAN watch movies on the DS, you CAN listen to music on the DS, not EVERYTHING has 2 screens and touch screens as he said, the GBO was released in '89, NOT '87, there were MAJOR hardware changes between GBO and DS, the DS has AMAZING battery life, the DS battery CAN be changed on the fly, the DS will interface with the Wii just as the PSP does with the PS3, DS has LAN and internet access as he claims it can't, need I go on? And his tangent with the GBO vs. DS is like comparing the PSP to the Game Gear. I respect opinions, but I DON'T tolerate lies.

luc, scoot over. bicostp just became my favorite moderator. i love both DS and PSP, though i dont have a psp yet. i like to see people that are neutral though.bicostp wrote:It's called free speech.
I, too, am not fond of the DS (I have a GBA and haven't bought new games for it in over 2 years). Nor do I jump for joy over the PSP (again for portable games I use my GBC or GBA. Video? It's called a "laptop"). Hell I'm not overly excited about the iPod (I don't listen to that much music all the time, and I already have a cassette Walkman with a radio function and an MP3-CD player...). If you think otherwise, that's fine with me. Just don't go spreading hate over a difference in opinion; that's no good.
This is going to become a flamewar; I can just smell the smoke already. Any flaming at all will result in thread lockage at the least, OK?
Yeah, Luc is right. This video is definitely satire to its fullest. He's just summing up the stupidest arguments he's ever heard as to why the DS sucks. If you watch the "PSP sucks" video, its the exact same stuff except he sums up the stupid Nintendo fanboy arguments. I guess you young whippersnappers just can't recognize a joke.Lucretius wrote:No, his humor is obviously just lost on saps like yourselves...
Check out my shameless abuse of free blogging hereWomen are like internet domain names; all the ones I like are taken
The DS battery can't be changed "on the fly" see that screw? You know that screw that holds the damn cover down?CronoTriggerfan wrote:@ Bic: I have absolutely no problem with freedom of speech. This is for everyone who keeps getting on my case about taking this seriously. It's a JOKE. I KNOW it was a JOKE. SO JUST SHUT THE HELL UP. Thank youCronoTriggerfan wrote:On the contrary, I did just that; you mistook my post. I meant that no one should take the review as anything more than a joke, I was not criticizing the reviewer. Sorry for any misinterpretation of my post.Lucretius wrote:You just don't listen do you? Seriously, try to look dumber in this, I really don't think you could. I'll go ahead and repeat what I said before and maybe repetition is just what it takes to get through a think skull such as yours: S-a-t-i-r-e. That's it. It's a joke. Now get the stick out of your ass and laugh it the hell up...CronoTriggerfan wrote:Really; come on, NO ONE thinks that the PSP is $800, and a game is $100, and that it explodes when dropped on a pillow and that it blew up a neighborhood.

As for changing the DS battery on the fly, it can be done; I never said it was easy, but it can be done. And I may just be weird like this, but I carry a couple screwdrivers around in my pocket at all times

There are plenty of media devices for the DS, but the most common is the GBA Movie Player. I have the SD version. All you need is the player, an SD/CF card depending on the player you get, and an SD/CF reader/writer. From there, you just convert all your video/audio/ROM files to .gbs and .gbm files, and you're set! PM me for more info.
