http://www.gizmodo.com/gadgets/portable ... 184769.php check ebay for HMDs you can sometimes find them for around 180$ but they arent the best quality honestly the only ones worth having are in the thousand dollar range, most affordable ones are low resolution, 640x480 or sometimes 800x600, most 800x600 res or above cost in the 500$ range

Dude, why are you screaming at me? Dr. KillGood is a Ben fanboy!

It can't be that hard to make. Just get 2 small LCD displays and wire them to your and put the brightness low... you don't want to burn out your eyes.

Yeah, but can you focus your eyes on something that simple and close to your face without going cross-eyed?

well...it depends. if they are like a 1/2 inch away like i would probably make them...no, about 1 inch and a 1/2 maybe. 2 1/2 inches is the way to go.
i'm lazy...so what?

I looked at the page more and thought that it may not be a pain to use.
I think that the screens may not me right in your face, but reflected there from other places inside the headset or perhaps using lenses (so you don't have to cross eyes or focus reeeeaaallly close up).
The idea of making one device be headphones and screens in one is really nifty. I'd still want a second-person account of these things so I can know what it's really like. In my opinion, you may get eye/headaches (reminiscent of Virtal Boy).

On my browser, the visitor counter at the bottom of the page reads "00001".

Just spend the good money on a projector or something and make the screen as big as it can go and still look clear. Otherwise your outta luck, you'll probably spend a small fortune just making your own.

Yeah, and Japanese use NTSC as well. Most European places use PAL.
