PSone screen compared to Interact GC Screen

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

PSone screen compared to Interact GC Screen

Post by ShockSlayer »

Ok, I want someone's opinion who has worked with both. How big of a difference and which one is over all better? I'm making an n64p and I want a really good screen. Obviosly everyone loves the psone screen, but I want an easy hook up to my n64p. Can someone offer their opinion/advice?

I would go with the PSONE screeen because it draws less power. And for the audio and video you just strip the wire and solder them on the Mobo. Also more people have worked with the psone screen so if you need help more people can provide it.

Led moddding is just putting in new LEDS to backlight the screen. The point is to bring the Mah needed down from ( I think ) 750 to like 350. So overall its so you can get better batterie life.

Im not going to do it on my portable for now. Once I get better at this I think I might though.

I didn't know that. I'm going to go see if I can get one, already led modded off of the trading post. Thanks.

Your welcome, But why dont you just mod one yourself. Ben made a guide that is floating around somewhere on extremetech. Someone link it.
