While searching for information regarding the kind of incudtor I needed for my DC-DC, I stumbleded upon a very nice adjustable (with external components, 3.3V fixed) known as the "L4978 2A HIGH EFFICIENCY DC-DC CONVERTER."

Hrm, that Digikey link I gave is only the IC...
For the whole regulator you would have to order one of the L4978 evaluation boards (along with the IC possibly?):
