NES RF shielding

hey i made a view window on the top of my NES so that the cartridge can be seen so im gonna ixnay the top rf shielding, i was wondering if this will make a difference in quality assuming i hook it up to my tv through an RF adapter. i'm also having trouble reassembling the NES with the bottom shielding, i cant figure out how to get it back correctly, i was wondering if removed that if that would make a differnece in quality. lastly, does rf shielding effect quality if you have it hooked up through A/V.

It can give you some nasty screen snow and bzzzzzzzzzzzzzing, but may not necessarily be noticable

i think it'll be fine without the shield. whenever im doing any mods to my nes, i always hook it up and test it without the shield and it works fine

I can tell you that I have been using my NES without shielding for.. lets see, about 4 years (since I refurbished it) and it works just fine, no snow or buzzing. The only thing I know of that could interfere with your NES is a police radio jammer or a HAM shortwave radio. I don't think that these will be a constant problem for you though.

when u guys connected it without rf shielding did u use the rf adapter or a/v jacks?
