Thanks for the comments guys! I'm currently at a stand-still because I'm a little overloaded with school work, and in the process of getting a smaller tip for my soldering iron. I'll update with results when I'm finished. And just to clarify again-

No, I didn't just scrap a TI-83, it was already broken!

hey - howd u get the sp to fit right - i ripped up screwposts, messed around, and mite have to melt out some plastic just 2 get mine to fit!

From what I can tell (having taken apart 3) TI-83s differ slightly internally between their different models (I'm guessing it just depends on when they were made).

And by the way, to those who might actually care, I fried the SP in this original project, but I might eventually try it again! :wink:
