Dedicated source server won't work

Ok I have my alternate computer set up to run a clan server for a good friend of myn, I have all the files, but when I try to run it I get an error message. Do i have to have conterstrike:source installed on the computer I want to run the server on? I think it says "steam content servers not avalable". Any clue how to fix it would be much opresheated!

You need CS:S.

Yea, Valve needs to do some major matnance on it. I'm sick of Friends Network not working among other things.

Error message says: MountFilesystem ( 241 ) failed: SteamMountFilesystem(1148,241,0x151efc7c=,0x151efd7c) failed with error 5: NO Steam Content Servers are available

If that helps at all... VB your probobally right lol.

Wait your saying I have to buy another copy just to run a server..... Thats a bit lame!

Try SRCDS, it's a lot better.

they fixed the friends server in their last update i thought?

Ok... VB_Master helped me set it up over aim, the proublem is, my dad thinks someone will ahck threw the router, and steal files... I need an article to prove him worng so he stops being a noob...
