I thought that Nintendo said it comes out 'Q4 2006'. That ends on september 30th, 2006.
Shhh! I'm not officially back yet.

That's always the best way to play it. There are three advantages to this:

1. Cheapest price during their lifespan.
2. Best games are finally out.
3. System is perfected so PSU's won't explode and disk readers won't make errors. :wink:

i like the PS3, as a game i have been slowly working on for a year or so now, will actually NEED all of the parallel processing power of the CELLs in the PS3.

not thats it's inefficient code mind you (though it's not the most efficient either) it's just very CPU intensive creating a whole solar system of 3d terrain in realtime. i'm mostly working on the planet terrain generator at the moment to try speed up the code.

I picked Wii because its the one system that seems to be the underdog of it all. I personally think it will kick ass. We should have a poll on how old most of the people are on this forum. From what I heard, the Wii attracts the younger age groups.

If I had the money to waste, I'd buy a Wii and Xbox360. And seeing as nobody's voted for the 360, I gave it my vote! :D

I have never heard of Spore or Spore 2.

I'm doing a whole galaxy, millions of stars, tens of millions of planets. and NO ZONES, it's all fluid, from deep space to landing on planets, and walking around. It'll all be one huge enviroment. The only transition will be in getting out of your pilots seat to walk around your ship, board someone elses ship, or explore a distant alien world... it's going to be some time before i get near a usable state though, i'm a single woman working to build an entire galaxy. Around 5 galaxies really, there will be smaller satellite galaxies as well.

My routines have to be rather complex to stave off the symmetry common with psuedo-randomly generatied spherical terrains. The routine seems to be working well. I'll also be adding a system for increasing the terrain resolution when you're on the surface, using a totally different routine.

<googles Spore>

Ah, so Spore is basically Sim Life all over again, cool. I'll have to pick it up.

I just thought I'd remind you guys.....Sony officially slated the PS3 at $600 freakin dollars! Not that I can't afford it, it's just that I can't afford it. At least they ditched that boomerang and went with a new Dualshock that'll have rumble (I think).

I voted for the Wii because it's Nintendo, plus I really think Square'll be more friendly to them than to Sony. Plus, with DS interface, what's not to love?

I voted Wii, and as far as I know the PS3 won't have rumble. Tho this is Sony and they change anything they want when they want so they could get rid of the HDMI port and then find some reason to justify their change.

Well, I just said it'll have rumble because the new design looks like it'll support it, plus PSM and the official Playstation Magazine all hinted at it having rumble.
