Strange video problem with my psone screen.

my psone screen is doing wierd things latley. sometimes when I turn it on, it has a large bar, about a half inch long, all the way from the top of the screen to the bottom of the screen on the right side, that is completely grey no video at all, the rest of the display is perfect. then sometimes it works 100%, but sometimes it freaks out and the whole thing flickers a bit then it all goes grey(Grey NOT white) It's not the ribbon cable because the screen doesn't go white it goes grey, so it must be something on the board. can somebody help?

are you sure its not just a partially loose ribbon cable? sounds like something is loose, at any rate.

i have a similiar problem----pic attached. the bars roll up the screen, the color is perfect in between the bars, but...

my old one did that. the problem was that the power supply wasn't regulated enough and had too much noise or something. are you running it on batteries or the wall adapter? if you're using the wall adapter, try batteries.

Im running off of wall adapter too, tho.

some screens are kinda messed up and only work well with a very stable power supply (not normal ones) so try running it from battteries or a regulator or something.
