GC to PC?

Hey, I just recently picked up a GC controller for FREE, and I was wondering, if Any companys made a Converter that Converts a GC controller port to USB.

Have any companies done that?

How hard is it to make one myself?

Tom, theres 3 items on your link you sent me, Only one works, the other 2 lead back to the main site.

What they do sell in stores is a PS2 joypad USB converter thing (

) and a another thing that lets you play with a gc controller on a PS2. Those 2 combined = gc to pc

Anyone know of a NES->USB convertor? I've been wanting to use a real nes controller on my emulators

You have the chip sold here internal to the pad, or wired to the normal Nintendo plug: http://www.retrousb.com/index.html

I have the Super Joy Box 13 for using a GameCube controller on my computer, and it works very well. They're very cheap on eBayâ€¦

I own a lot of GC and PS2 games. If I get a emulator and I just pop the games in the dvd drive and play them ?

GameMaster, he's talking about using a GC controller on his PC through the USB ports, not emulation (well, not directly at least).

Yea, if i use a Xbox controller on PC does that mean im emulating Xbox? No, im just playing Halo CE

one of these days im going to have to make a drive bay fascia with controller ports for loads of diffrent consoles.

just buy the usb adapters off liksang, cut a fascia to fit them, stick them all onto the fascia, plug them in a usb hub, and install the drivers.

its really good to be able to play emulated games on the controlers they were intended to be played on.

I agree. Only problem is that the world currently lacks an N64 to USB adapter. There used to be a very nice one, but it got discontinued and disappearedâ€¦

Most of the older systems (Atari, NES, SNES PSX, Genesis, ect.) have plans all over the internet for controller interfaces. They use your parallel port, and they're VERY easy and cheap to build. You could pay ~$10-$20 for a commercial USB one, but that's no fun, and it's still more expensive.

Google is your friend.

As for the thread starter, yes, there are USB GC controller interfaces, but I doubt you can find them locally. Sorry.
