Rotate PSOne screen video?

Hello all,

I'm looking at possibly using my PSOne screen for college. You see, I'm going to have a loft for my bed, and probably a futon underneath. The problem is, this doesn't leave much room for a tv. I was thinking, I could probably have it hanging from the side of the loft, and make it some kind of flip-down thing, like in a minivan or something. Problem is, the best way to do it would be having the screen upside-down. I know it's a longshot, but is there any practical way to rotate the video 180Â°? I'm not afraid to make a soldering connection or 2, but don't want to flash any chips or anything intense like that.

isnt it 100% easier to just flip the psone screen not the circuitry???

Why dont you just put a hinge on the top part.

doesn't look as good....anyway, yeah, I think the best thing to do would be to somehow flip the board inside and the lcd. Rewire and mount the tact. switches to work on the top of the board, and then rewire the speakers. You'll have to extend the AVin wires, as well. It's not exactly the easiest thing in the world, but there isn't any smt soldering involved

! Well, not any extremely tough smt soldering...

AFAIK, there isn't a very easy and practical way to flip video. You'd probably need some kind of decoder (expensive, most likely

).

yeah to flip it youd have to store a whole frame then read it out backwards.

extend the wires for the connectors and turn the board upside down
