Yes... it's the only thing that makes these forums feel empty...
Anyway, I suggest joining the forums over at www.electro-tech-online.com They're a pretty big forum with tons of threads you can learn from and there are a lot of helpful people there too. (Nigel Goodwin knows all... it's just crazy...) That forum is how I learned almost everything I know about electronics.
.i had signed up there before i came here, to start learning electronics...they were mean to me ...luckily i found this forum and felt very happy, what made me stay was reading gamelver's 1st GCp status thread...i felt so happy, and was happy for him.

finally got motivated again to start a portable, which i have...but with many doubts :S
Here's a great place to get started learning about electronic stuff. Another thing I would suggest is to go to your local library, search the catalog for "electronics" and have fun. You'd be surprised at how many electronic overview books there are.

the library...is it sad i never even thought to look there? anyway, thank you kindly for your advise friend. now, onwards and upwards exploring new frontiers and all that stuff!

yaeh i dont think the burning part would be very enjoyable...but breaking stuff is always, ALWAYS fun! if this stupid portable TV screen i have ends up being the wrong kind so i can't use it, im thinking of either just putting it back together, or destroying it....its tempting....
