Sony Watchman FDL-PT22

i took apart the watchman, well, i have the guts out of the casing, and now i can't figure out what i need to use the screen, and what's stuff that the TV needed that i can get rid of now. if anyone could give me advise on how to figure out what's needed and what's useless, that would be great. also, the TV has a headphone jack, a DC 4v in jack, as well as volume and brightness controls. can i still use those for a portable? or would it be too confusing to try and get all of those parts to work while taking out the uneeded TV parts. anyway, any info on how to tell what i need and dont need would be greatly appreciated.
