I can't open my PSone!

Post by King of Bling »

I have removed all of the screws on my PSone (including the one under the void sticker) except one, and I can't get it open. It is screwed in too tight and my attempts to open it are slowly making it impossible to open by eroding away the cross shape.

What should I do? Should I use a melted pen to get the shape right or would it be strong enough? Also I want to retain the case so I can put it back in after I have mod-chipped it.

Push the screwdriver down hard (not breakingly hard) to keep the screwdriver from jumping.

Try using a screwdriver with a better handle, and put the PSone upside down on the couch or something somewhat supportive and padded, and push down hard while you turn the screw. Pucshig down really hard on the screw almost always works for me.

If it doesn't then just drill the screw out.

Ooh do you have one of those stripped screw removal tools? They're great!

Where might I find one of these stripped screw removal tools? Will they damage the case?

I got it open eventually. All I needed was persistance and elbow grease.
