Great.... Just great. HELP!

I just got my Super Joy III in the mail today and waisted no time taking it apart and wiring an NES controller up to it.

Here's the pinout I used (my superjoy has 13 pins)

2=white
5=brown
9=orange
10=yellow
12=red

It didn't work.

I snipped wires 2, 5, 9, 10, and 12 from the ribbon cable.

Now it won't turn on.

What did I do wrong!?!? I'm almost certain I didn't cut the wrong wires, and in my frustration I ripped the wires from the NES controller off the board.

What can I do!?!?

Okay, now in my anger, I ripped the whole ribbon cable off.... There was glue all over it so I took an exacto knife and got the glue off. Now the board is kinda scratched.

And the geniuses at Powerplayer USA glued a piece of cardboard to the back of the NOAC, and when I ripped that out, the glue stayed on the NOAC, covering some of the pins for the card slot.

Is there a way to took a TV and controller to this? I know there is, but the pinouts are confusing and mine has 13 pins, not 12.

This sucks. Did I fry it? Can I use an RC car battery instead of 4 AA's?

Did you use a 7805 ? Because if those things are very sensible to tension other than 5 volt....

OK, say you have the component (RCA jack) and you follow the center (signal) down the mobo to the spot.

Yea, like what, ten times. There are two seperate boards. One housing external components, one being the NOAC itself. Follow to the wire bridge.

Wait, are you sure 4 AA's wouldn't fry it? Totaled up (assuming they're alkalines), the voltage is 6V whereas the normal operating voltage is 5. Since there's no regulation going on, I think 6V probably would be enough to fry it, but you might know something I don't, demonofaj.
