it's a double-ender for the atari 2600 pretty cool 2 games in 1. I think it was made by xonox or something like that.

i do not know if Ebay counts as a yard sale but i picked up a gamecube screen (intec) for $0.01 + shipping of $14.39

If you count any yardsale in the past, I remember one around 5 and a half years ago. Picked up an NES with the two controllers, a light gun, the RF and AC connections, and about 12 games with it, all for $5.
That NES now sits in my uncle's house (probly collecting dust) and has worked pretty well (never had to do much to it to get the games to play).

A while ago I picked up the full non-academic standard version of Visual C++ 6.0, complete with big wall poster and a Wrox Press "Learn VC++" book. $5.00, really broke the bank
