OK I had thought 12v was the max now I will try the lower voltage and see what happens, then jump the fuse...tomorrow(It's midnight here on the East Coast)

Hmm. I wonder... Do you think perhaps that frying the PCB will also fry the LCD part? I might need one of those.
I think the LCD itself is usually fine even if the board fries, I killed my GBC and the LCD still worked.
my main issue is that I got too jumpy and used a wall socket instead of a 7.2v battery like I was planning to use...Anyone got a mobo that would like to sell?
