DC jack with battery

how would i set up he wiring that alows for both a battery (camcorder) and a aux jack?

battery & jack -> power switch -> regulator

or

battery -> jack ->power switch -> regulator

Use a slide switch:
Center pin hooked up to ground(of both maybe...)
then one side battery
then one side dcjack
Some times I wake-up in the morning and feel like (drinking a ambrosial measure of coffee) OR (punching babies).
but I must say"I do love Du-c-unt"--my first nintendo game

In Ben's book, he uses a headphones jack for his SNESp, which works out well. What this accomplishes is the disconnection of the battery when you plug in an AC adapter. Unfortunately, if you happen to have the portable on at the time, it will cause the power to flicker for a second and you may lose whatever unsaved progress in your game. If you want to avoid that, tie the lines together and put diodes on the positives.
