That my friend is a java script pop up, brought to you by HK-47 and jeroen's sig. HK-47 did not mean for this to happen, it was simply a joke that he put in the computer pranks thread (which is now locked because of this) and many people quoted him to get the java code from his post, now people are putting it in their sigs and nobody can get rid of them but the person himself, ben, or gannon. so until tomorrow, or sometime soon, you will have to watch out for it and I recommend (triton recommended it to me) that you get the crash recovery plugin for firefox( assuming that you use firefox) and just recover where you left off if you hit one again.

get noscript for firefox. it makes that javascript stuff not do anything and you can allow/ban any site you want so it doesn't have to be always on or off

Yeah, in the pranks thread it was posted a couple times. HK edited the script in his post so it only generated one alert box. Be it by chance or dumb luck that's the version I copied and placed in the row of smileys in said thread. Jorean copied the infinite loop version and put it in his sig, apparently for some retaliation because people didn't pay too much attention to the Wiki.

I thought he removed it from his sig...

Ironic that he has not edited the Wiki either. Only me occasionally standardising the formatting of the pages. On a related note I have no portable knoledge and some pages are still required :P

Unfortunately it was only at a state where it was only a collection of varied information.

EDIT: And why BENwiki? It's so fanboy-ish. It's not like Ben invented electronics and portables...

Besides, PoD is where we put information and showcase our creations. (and where my website sits, collecting dust... well I'm taking it down sometime this week for a MAJOR overhaul anyways...)

As for the name, I think "Wikiportable" is catchier. :P

It cannot be complete without more information. I am going to standardise the pages eventually completely in the next few weeks.

Why Benwiki? One its just a URL. Everyone knows ben. Makes it more memorable and because I think someone may of either posted that name in the idea thread or because I just shoved that as a a test name for the wiki. One of the two.

"Unfortunately it was only at a state where it was only a collection of varied information. "

Thats what a wiki is unless you mean something else and I am mis-understanding your use of the word varied.

Also PoD does not let you edit things when you add them. Last I checked and this is designed to be a electronics site generally also. But PoD may be better suited if they allow page editing.
