switch problem

ok I was adding a new switch to mobo of my genny well leaving the other one on....so I had it soldered to the mobo it worked fine then the one wire broke off the switch so a I said no problem Ill just solder that back on so I did then when I went to turn it on agian it didnt work I tried resoldering the wire resolering it to the mobo and putting on a new switch the orginal switch doesnt even work anymore and the genny wont turn on any ideas what could be wrong? especially G-force pictures with lables would be very helpfull anyways this is ergent if you can help plz post

There could be a short. Check the board for any stray blobs of solder or other things that could cause a short. If you could draw us a picture on paint it could help us figure it out.

the switch is the power switch and Ive seen the picture 1000 times... lol but it doesnt show where I solderted it i solderted it where the orginal switch is but now that I think of it porbbaly would been better just to add the switch onto the battery wire....

Your soldering looks ok, I would scratch in between the two pins on the right and clean that up a bit, I don' t think thats the problem though. Check your batteries to see if they are charged, and check to see if your Genesis is getting power by using a multimeter. If it is and it still won't light up, give the 7805 power directly. Like this.

Just plug in the battery and see if it lights up.
