Just wondering if other people think it's plausible to use the extra ground lines in a cart and a 4066 to toggle !CE on the cart slot and rom chip. Just thinking of ways to keep the chip in the radica to have games without a cart too
You could always have the cartridge hit a lever switch when you insert it. Thats what I did with NES p0cket to switch from built-in games to cartridge, and it worked great.

I think thats what the GBA does to tell that you put in a color game.

No, they use a CMOS chip.
Here's my idea:
Since there are multiple Vcc points on a cart, only apply Vcc (3.3v/5v) on one pin on the cart slot. On another Vcc pin on the cart slot (that's not being used, not attached to anything,) there will be 0v if a cart is not inserted, and 5v if a cart is inserted, right? Somehow intergrate that with a CMOS switch or transistor switch.

The switch is simply a physical switch that changes the loader. Take a pencil and press down on the switch. While holding the switch down, turn on the GBA/SP. It starts up the GBO/GBC dashboard.
