Streets of rage is the best.

I also like forgotten worlds but it's only cool with two players. It has RPG elements built in such as buying body armor and flamethrowers. Really cool.

Fatal Fury is a pretty good fighting game but not as good as street fighter.

Road Rash is the best moto-racing game I know. Especially RR2 is good. You have to knock opponents of their bikes to win the race and possibly take weapons they have. After winning some races you can buy new bikes and such. I don't own it anymore and tried it on an emulator but it doesn't work properly.

There's an interesting RPG called Landstalker...it is isometric 3-D, like Sonic 3-D blast.
