Never thought i would see the day

Post by gamer2 »

Wow,

I went to my fathers house this weekend, and his new wifes son just got out of Jail for reasons i do not know about. He said he was in for 10 years, the last console he had bought was a Sega Saturn, and the PSX wasnt doing well when it first started out. I told him the Saturn went under, and so did its successor. He was disapointed, and also he was disapointed to find sonic games on Nintendo systems (among others).

To keep this from seeming like a blog

Has anyone ever met someone like this? i mean this guy is like a Cave man.

I don't think this is bloggy at all, this is a very interesting subject.

I assume he was blown away by today's graphics.

Then just avoid breaking laws :P Believe it or not, the justice system is actually correct 99% of the time, so I really don't feel any sympathy for this guy and his missing out on so much Video Gaming history.

I'm actually kinda surprised. A lot of prisons now have video games in them. Sometimes even the wardens play with the prisoners. I guess he wasn't lucky enough to be in one of those prisons.

Maybe the guy was in a super-high-max security prison. I believe that they dont have them there. All they have for enjoyment is a bed and a toilet.

Yeah I know exactly what you're talking about. My brother has been in twice over the two years, also he hasn't been able to afford or keep up with the new information on games.

I've been answering questions on the next generation consoles, how to mod the present consoles, and yeah I occationally give him information on the games coming out (Oblivion).

Really I hate talking about modding the Xbox and PS2 to him and my other brother. They ask questions and talk to me as if I don't know anything about the process or mod chips needed.

The only thing worse is the subject of computers. One is computer illiterate, and the the one I talked about above is nearly 10 years behind the curve. I hate being their information query for everything.

Yeah, I have a history teacher who only plays Astroid and Pong, I tried telling him about Oblivion and all the really nice graphic games, he doesn't care. Reads books. pfft What a concept.

There's plenty of other reasons for not wanting to go to jail besides falling behind the technological curve...
