hah. its definitely something optical. theres probably close to 10 thousand comptuers online during the fall/spring sessions. (kids who live on campus all get internet)

I don't know if this will effect many of you, but Comcast mentioned they are going to up the the speeds for internet. I believe download was going to go up to 8MB and they were going to increase upload speed by about 512Mb. I can't be 100% sure on the numbers but I can be sure they mentioned an increase on speed.

mines really fast being near the ADSLII interchange has its advantages:

down: 1436kBps
up:622kBps

Yeah, you dont see me doing a test from my dads work. That would be flying.... but average is

Download Speed: 3367 kbps (420.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 539 kbps (67.4 KB/sec transfer rate)

Mind you all of those links are in the US and im in canada. Still not bad though. On 95% of dls, I get 400 dl speed.
