Heh, almost wish I waited to get the lite, I just got my DS like.. 4 days ago. Of course it was a trade, not like I had 130 bucks to spend on a DS lite that I did on DS... normal...
Sounds good, Luc, I might pick it up now. I've been contemplating for awhile now, but I just couldn't justify paying 130 for another DS. Now that I have a job though I can stop being so frugal.

I'm going to have to pick one up, my DS "Hevy" has a broken R button and I don't want to spend the money to fix it just yet. I find it odd that my friend's DS's hinge broke off when it fell 5 feet to a carpeted floor.
I'm not bashing I'm just saying maybe Nintendo's products are losing their structural integrity.
I'm going to get on very soon. I'll post some eye candy when I do. I'm also going to get a white macbook. All my new electronics will match: Macbook, DS Lite, Xbox360, White iPod
It'll be quite a while until I get one. I always run my game systems into the ground before I get a new/upgraded one. For example, the only GameBoys I've ever bought was an original and a GBA (and a DS but it's technically not a GB as Luc will tell you ). I just don't care enough to justify buying this revision.
Congrats to all you who got one though. Be safe, wear sunglasses.
Question; does it still use tactile switches or did they switch to rubber pads again?
originally i said hell no to the whole upgrade to a lite idea but my friend got one on its release and the screen does look better and the controls are more squishy like a normal controller. so i sold my DS to gamestop (they had a ,get +20$ for every console you trade in dealy yesterday) and plan to grab one later in the weak with new super mario bros and hunters

History does indeed repeat istelf.

Did anyone buy the smaller, slicker Game Boy Pocket?

Got mine. Waited outside Best Buy, near downsview in Toronto for 2 1/2 hours. Only other person who stayed was this fat guy with long hair and a Joystiq T-Shirt. And a Wii backpack. What a nerd! I only went because I wanted to get away from my complaining sister...
"MARKUS! YOU'RE GONNA MISS YOUR DS LITE!"
*I walk out the door after thats said for the 2 millionth time*
What about the reduced size in relation to the controls. Anyone who bought the DS Lite have big hands here? I seem to have lost my ability to form coherent thoughts...
